Day 1 - Thu:
DENVER AREA–CUSTER
We'll be leaving the hustle and bustle of Denver behind and heading to the charming town of Custer, nestled in the picturesque region of Black Hills. As we journey across its exquisite landscape, you'll be treated to stunning vistas of rolling hills, lush forests, and serene lakes-beloved natural characteristics of the South Dakotan city.
Upon arrival, we'll explore many of the small town's popular attractions, including famous boutiques, restaurants, and historic sites. Looking to get outdoors? We'll also venture into Custer's surrounding wilderness, where you'll get to trek along scenic trails, fish in crystal clear streams, and take in stunning views of Black Hills' tallest peaks.
The day will conclude with a good night's rest in Custer, as the peaceful sounds of the idyllic town will provide a pleasant ending to a perfect day.
Day 2 - Fri:
CUSTER. EXCURSION TO CUSTER STATE PARK, MOUNT RUSHMORE & CRAZY HORSE MEMORIAL
Today's route takes us to further explore the most iconic landmarks of the Black Hills region. We'll start with an exciting excursion to Custer State Park, where you'll get to hike picturesque trails and witness bison herds roaming freely across the rolling hills.
Next, we'll visit Mount Rushmore, a colossal sculpture featuring the faces of four American presidents, artistically carved into a towering granite cliff. You'll get to learn the inspiring history of Mount Rushmore from knowledgeable rangers and pause to marvel at the incredible landmark from an observation deck.
Lastly, we'll make a trip to Crazy Horse Memorial, a monumental sculpture dedicated to the legendary Lakota warrior. You'll get to appreciate the detailed craftsmanship that went into creating it, while also learning of its history and meaning behind its creation.
By evening's end we'll have returned to Cluster, and you'll have experienced some of the most iconic landmarks of the Black Hills region while creating lasting memories to treasure for years to come.
Day 3 - Sat:
CUSTER–DEVILS TOWER–CODY
Let's depart the charming town of Custer and head towards the iconic Devils Tower, a geological monolith jutting up 800-feet above the surrounding countryside. You'll have the chance to hike the base of this stunning natural landmark, take in sweeping prairie views, and learn of its unique geology and cultural significance.
Afterwards, we'll make our way to the vibrant town of Cody, Wyoming, where you'll get to explore local shops, restaurants, and cultural attractions. You can choose to visit the Buffalo Bill Center of the West, a massive museum featuring interactive exhibits and artifacts dedicated to the history and culture of the American West, or opt to take in an exhilarating rodeo performance at the Cody Stampede Rodeo Grounds.
As you spend the night in Cody, feel free to reflect on a wonderful day of stunning natural landscapes, educational attractions, and cultural experiences.
Day 4 - Sun:
CODY–YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK
Today, we'll explore one of the most iconic national parks in the world, the incomparable Yellowstone National Park. You'll get to hike popular trails, observe bubbling geysers, overlook crystal-clear lakes, take in remarkable views from various vantage points, and spot diverse wildlife. You may be lucky enough to catch sight of a bison, elk or grizzly bear roaming around their natural habitat!
By day's end, you'll have the unique experience of spending the night within the park's soul-refreshing wilderness, where you can marvel at the starry night sky and enjoy the peaceful stillness of the natural world.
Day 5 - Mon:
YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK
Let's continue our tour of the most beloved natural wonders of Yellowstone National Park. We'll witness the spectacular eruption of Old Faithful, the brilliant colors of the Grand Prismatic Spring, and the majestic beauty of Yellowstone River Canyon.
Ready for exciting outdoor adventures? Don't worry, the park offers a wide range of activities to suit everyone's tastes, including hiking, biking, and fishing. All of these activities can be enjoyed in the stunning natural surroundings of Yellowstone National Park.
You'll also get to learn about the park's rich natural and cultural history through a range of educational programs and interpretive exhibits suited for all ages.
We'll spend another night in the park, where you'll get to sleep to the soothing sounds of nature's tranquility. This once in a lifetime opportunity is a fantastic way to explore Yellowstone in all its glory and truly appreciate its grandeur!
Day 6 - Tue:
YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK–GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK–JACKSON–ALPINE
Our tour of Wyoming continues with visits to natural wonders and exciting cultural experiences. In the morning, we'll start with a remarkable journey through Grand Teton National Park, for a look at its soaring peaks, glistening lakes, and verdant forests. If we're lucky enough, we'll get the opportunity to spot a majestic bald eagle soaring through the sky, as well as grazing bison and moose that call the park home.
Next, lets head to the charming western-style town of Jackson, with its one-of-a-kind stores, eateries, and iconic elk antler arches. You'll be fully immersed into the culture of the town while taking in the colorful sights and sounds of its bustling streets.
Lastly, we'll arrive in Alpine, a small town nestled in the picturesque Star Valley, of which we'll also spend the night and prep for more adventure to come in the next day.
Day 7 - Wed:
ALPINE–SALT LAKE CITY
Today, we'll journey from Alpine to Salt Lake City. Along the way, take in the astonishing beauty of the sprawling countryside and towering peaks. We'll also make stops at several lesser-known spots to capture incredible vantage points of the mountains, valleys, and streams that make up the natural landscape. Once arriving in Salt Lake City, feel free to explore the city and all it has to offer. Take a walk downtown and explore the vibrant city streets, or, explore the Natural History Museum of Utah and go shopping at City Creek Center. One thing's for sure, Salt Lake City has something for everyone to enjoy!
Day 8 - Thu:
SALT LAKE CITY–BRYCE CANYON NATIONAL PARK
We'll travel from the lively capital city of Utah to Bryce Canyon National Park. Let's start your morning with a delicious breakfast before hitting the open road. As we approach the park, prepare to be awestruck by the magnificent rock formations, spectacular hoodoos, and other geological wonders that will leave you in anticipation for what's to come.
Upon arrival, you'll be given ample time to explore Bryce Canyon. Hike the park's famous trails, like the Navajo Loop or Queen's Garden Trail. Take in the unique array of colors, land formations, and remarkable wildlife that can be found here.
In the evening, settle into your cozy accommodation setup within the borders of the park's stunning natural beauty.
This soothing day of exploration and adventures in nature will be filled with memorable experiences you'll cherish for a lifetime.
Day 9 - Fri:
ZION NATIONAL PARK–LAS VEGAS
Embark on an incredibly scenic drive between two of America's most awe-inspiring national parks! Our route begins with a departure from Bryce Canyon National Park's colorful spires, mesas, and canyons to the towering sandstone cliffs, emerald pools, and cascading waterfalls of Zion National Park. After reaching our destination, we'll hike famous trails like Angel's Landing and Canyon Overlook Trail, both of which you can take in sweeping views of the entire park.
After several hours of exploring Zion, we'll head to Las Vegas to experience the bright lights and endless attractions of the city that never sleeps. Whether it's a visit to the iconic Las Vegas Strip or trying your luck at a world-famous casino, Vegas has plenty to keep you entertained. Here, you'll spend the night in a hotel before continuing your next adventure.
