Day 1 - Wednesday:
Montreal
Embark on a journey of cultural discovery as we explore the vibrant city of Montreal. We'll take a stroll around Jean-Talon Market and experience the sights and smells of local foods, and handmade products. Next, let's visit the majestic Montreal Botanical Garden, which boasts over 20,000 different species of plants. We'll wander through Saint Laurent Boulevard, a lively street lined with grand old townhouses, and explore the creative hub known as Mile End neighborhood, home to some of the world's most renowned artists, musicians, and filmmakers such as Arcade Fire, Bran Van 3000, Ariane Moffatt, Grimes, Sean Michaels, Plants and Animals, and Mac Demarco. Here, you'll also find art galleries, designer's workshops, boutiques and cafes-all of which have contributed to Mile End's reputation as one of the coolest neighborhoods in the world.
Afterwards, we'll experience the magic of The Old Montreal Quartier Des Spectacles, where the city's most exciting events come to life. We'll also explore The Underground City, a network of subterranean tunnels that connect downtown Montreal, take in the remarkable views and fresh mountain air at Mount Royal Park, observe wildlife and stunning waterfalls at Cap-Saint-Jacque Nature Park, and finally, visit Olympic Stadium, built for the 1976 summer Olympic games. Day 2 - Thursday:
Montreal - Quebec City - Montreal
Welcome to the city of Quebec, situated on the majestic Saint Lawrence River in the mostly French-speaking province. While here, we'll explore the rich history of the city, which dates back to 1608, as we stroll around the stone buildings and narrow streets of its fortified colonial core, Vieux-Quebec and Place Royale. We'll also catch sight of the magnificent Chateau Frontenac Hotel towering over the city skyline, and visit the iconic La Citadelle de Quebec military installation, located atop Cape Diamante, next to the Plains of Abraham. As you approach the fort, you'll be amazed by its sheer size-it's the largest fortification built in North America-and outside of hosting troops, is also the official residence of the Governor General of Canada. Lastly, you'll get to enjoy stops at the lively bistros and boutiques lined along the cobblestone streets of The Petit Champlain District. What a wonderful day exploring the wonders of Quebec-city of historical charm and captivating beauty!
Day 3 - Friday:
Montreal - Ottawa - Montreal
Experience the overwhelming beauty of Ontario as you travel from Montreal to Ottawa. Upon arriving, our first stop will take us to Parliament Hill, the iconic Canadian seat of government, where you can explore its impressive architecture and witness the traditional Changing of the Guard ceremony. Afterwards, we'll head to the luxurious Fairmont Chateau Laurier, a historic hotel frequented by royalty and dignitaries. As we continue on, let's journey to Nepean Point, a scenic spot offering breathtaking views of the sprawling natural landscape, Ottawa River, and city skyline. Our tour culminates with visits to the unique shops, eateries, and galleries in ByWard Market. There, you can purchase souvenirs and sample delectable local cuisine! After an exciting day of sightseeing, we'll return to Montreal for a peaceful night of rest.
Day 4 - Saturday:
Montreal - Kingstone
Today, let's venture from Montreal to the city of Kingstone, where we'll experience the beauty of the Thousand Islands. Home to 1,864 stunning islands, this archipelago of Canada and New York straddles the Saint Lawrence River as it emerges from the northeast corner of Lake Ontario, stretching for about 50 miles (80 km) from Kingston. Our tour will take you to the heart of this majestic destination, allowing you to explore the picturesque, crystal clear waters and lush greenery of the area. We'll marvel at some of the region's most awe-inspiring sights, from the 40 square mile (100 km2) Wolfe Island to the smaller Lighthouse Island, to the iconic Alexandria Bay, known for its breathtaking sunsets. What an unforgettable day discovering the beauty of the Thousand Islands!
Day 5 - Sunday:
Kingston - Toronto
Get ready for a breathtaking tour of Lake Ontario, one of the five Great Lakes of North America, situated between the Canadian province of Ontario and the U.S. state of New York. While in Toronto, let's visit the world-famous CN Tower, which rises 553.3m above the ground. We'll also explore the magnificent Rogers Centre, a multi-purpose stadium with a retractable roof, and take a leisurely stroll through Eaton Centre, an enormous underground mall brimming with cafes, shops, fountains, waterfalls, and beautiful architecture. And the fun doesn't stop there! Feel the energy of Downtown Toronto's Banking District as we visit the iconic City Hall landmark and scenic Harbourfront, a vibrant cultural hub full of shops, restaurants, and entertainment.
How about a trip to Ontario Place, an urban oasis right on the waterfront with serene gardens, trails, a marina, and a spectacular view of the Toronto skyline. Enjoy Chinatown's lively atmosphere and delicious food, and explore Casa Loma, a stunning Gothic Revival castle-style mansion with lush gardens, secret passageways, and fascinating artifacts. Day 6 - Monday:
Toronto - Niagara Falls
Get ready for a unique blend of adventure and exploration! Our day begins with an invigorating tour of Niagara Falls State Park, where you'll experience a captivating overlook of American Falls, the 2nd largest of Niagara's three waterfalls, and explore a 1.5-mile stretch of dazzling scenery from Goat Island. We'll also board the iconic Maid of the Mist Cruise and experience the thunderous roar of the Falls up close.
